[Barcelona, Spain | December 24, 2025] – QuitNow, the smoking cessation tool with more than 10 million users worldwide, announces the most significant transformation since its creation. After a year marked by its participation in the World Health Organization’s Tobacco Cessation Consortium in Geneva, the platform unveils a new model focused on “Hybrid Care”, combining technology, professional psychology, and community support.
This new phase marks the transition from a habit-tracking app to a comprehensive support ecosystem, capable of guiding smokers from the first intention to quit all the way to maintaining a smoke-free life. The strategy for 2026 is built around three key pillars: human psychological support, a guided quitting course, and growth in the corporate wellness sector.
One of QuitNow’s major innovations is the addition of Bruno Monse, a licensed health psychologist specializing in addictions, who brings clinical rigor and professional expertise to the platform.
Thanks to this collaboration, QuitNow introduces two new educational formats:
A complete text-based course, offering a structured, step-by-step guide to quitting smoking. It is available in the 27 languages supported by the app, ensuring accessibility for users worldwide.
A video-based course, composed of three videos of around one hour each, complemented by a live session where users can send questions and receive answers in real time. For now, the audiovisual content is available in Spanish, with plans to expand to other languages.
This new content, backed by an expert in addictions, represents a turning point for QuitNow by combining the power of mobile technology with the credibility and effectiveness of human support.
The platform’s effectiveness has also driven its growth in the corporate sector. More and more organizations are adopting digital wellness tools to support employee health or enrich their customer services.
Recent collaborations include:
Lidl Belgium, which has acquired QuitNow licenses for its entire workforce, reinforcing its commitment to cardiovascular health and workplace wellbeing.
In the insurance sector, QuitNow continues its long-standing partnership with DKV, working together to promote healthier habits among policyholders. Additionally, Seguros Atocha joins this year as a new partner, integrating QuitNow as a value-added service for its customers.
These alliances demonstrate the rising demand for hybrid health solutions, particularly in environments where smoking remains a major risk factor.
Another key announcement is the launch of my.quitnow.app, the web version of QuitNow. This platform allows users to access metrics, track their progress, and manage their quitting journey directly from their computer, with instant synchronization to the mobile app.
The web version is designed for those who use QuitNow in workplace settings or prefer following their progress on larger screens, further reinforcing the concept of “Hybrid Care”: accessible, flexible, and adapted to every moment of the day.
“Our participation in the WHO working groups has confirmed that the future of smoking cessation is hybrid. The combination of technology, experts, and community support provides a much closer and more effective experience for people who decide to quit smoking”, says Esteve Aguilera, founder of QuitNow.
Built in Barcelona, QuitNow is one of the world’s largest communities of former smokers. The platform combines WHO-validated health metrics, 24/7 community support, and expert psychological content to guide people toward a life free from tobacco. It is currently available in 27 languages and has helped millions of users around the globe.
